It's not crazy, when I started working out and eating healthy I kept track of everything I ate. I measured and weighed everything I ate, I kept and do keep workout journals. I don't measure my foods any more because I always eat the same combinations of foods. I prepare most of my meals in advance and freeze them so I don't even think about it. Grab a container and nuke it perfectly balanced meals in an instant.
