You would not believe how many $1,000 or less 1st gen camaros I came across back in the early 80s. I even had the chance to buy a 1967 Impala SS Convertable, 283, with a two speed Power-glide, all original, one owner, in very good condition for an asking price of $1,500. Unfortunatly, I was young and damn near broke.
