Also, drilling in remote areas solves nothing in the long term. It might help prices for a few years, but it is very short-sighted. We can harm areas that may be the only true remaining wilderness areas and in a few years, we're right back where we started - looking for more. We need other sources of energy that are renewable.

yes i agree, but in a recovering economy we need low gas prices
and you are wrong about prices going down for only a few years if we drill. we have more oil here then the middle east will ever have under our grounds. its been proven. so gas would be cheap for a while.
