What a scare, I'm sure. Glad to see you are getting better. My On-Star subscription was to expire yesterday (had my car one-year ago yesterday)
and I renewed only with the Safe & Sound plan for reasons just like you experienced.
I am shocked you got your wallet back, that just doesn't happen these days.
You definitely had an Angel or Good Samaritan "watching your back".. Get healthy!!
