Where I work, this is how it works....ALWAYS. And for starters, you need to realize I work 4 days a week/10 hours a day and our WEEKEND is Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. We have two COMPANY OBSERVED holidays, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.....IF either of this days falls on a weekend (Friday thru Sunday) the holiday is observed as follows:
If Christmas Eve is on Thursday , then we have the following Monday off.
If BOTH Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are on the weekend, we get Thursday and Monday off.
If Chriastmas Eve is on Sunday, we get Thursday off, and Monday Off as its a holiday.
THUS if those two holidays are CONNECTED to weekend in anyway.....we have a 5 daqy weekend.
BUT....IF or should I say WHEN Christmas Eve and Christmas falls on Tuesday and Wednesday.....all we get is those two days off.....unless we take vacation days off that week to have off Monday and/or Thursday off.
SO this year.....I have off Thursday thru Monday OFF for the Holiday.
