Congress won't blame it on bad management or poor products. It will be a poor industry that righteously kills the brand that killed its performance car for the likes of family sedans, crossovers, and a slave-build green machine. There's no justification for saving it. It isn't special. It's cars don't have an enthusiast following like they used to have with the Supra and Celica. Now, it is a brand of mediocrity, doomed to annihilation by the forces that so many would will on companies that actually do make good cars: bad decision-making, poor quality, weak performance, ugliness, and products that do not reflect the wants and needs of the market. I hope that Toyota's employees all quit tomorrow. I hope that GM buys all of their factories and makes Volts in them. I hope that every Toyota roaming the streets of American, Europe, and Japan gets replaced by a Cobalt, Malibu, Impala, Camaro, or Corvette in the years to come, and I hope that those buyers never look back.
