if your buying a cayman for straight line performance your, well, doing it wrong. look at car and driver's last lightening lap competition or motortrend's best driver's car article. it is a performance car for the track pure and simple. i wouldnt say it is a particularly luxurious car, you got it wrong people DO buy porsches for the performance....
the decline in sales more than likely has to do with a couple things. The massive sales success that the Panamera is, porsche customers (the ones that want the badge) probably see that as a better vehicle. Then there are the enthusiasts, and even though every 1 out of 3 drivers use a cayman at the DE's i go to they all have a common complaint: IT NEEDS MORE POWER.
