I think that stability control is a non-issue weight wise. What are we looking at? A light on the dash, steering angle sensor, maybe a bigger ECM and hopefully a switch. I'd call that five pounds at the outside.
Regarding the crash standards, if Ford failed to design the 2010 to meet 2012 standards then need to they fire everyone who worked on the design. Its possible that the glass roof was only meant to meet current standards and will not be offered in 2012, but I bet Ford plans to keep it if it sells and designed it for 2012 standards.
