HA!! This one could go on forever fueled by misinformation and big egos.
And I could add my own thoughts being a white collar worker and looking at my 76 hour time sheet from last week with no (that's right NO) OT pay. But I don't really have time for that. Didn't really have time to read this thread but someone told me I should.
The only comment I will add is that if the company is going to survive, ALL the stakeholders (including the line workers) need to be part of the solution. So the UAW and the CAW need to step up and be realistic. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying that they must take a pay cut, which seems to be a widely accepted presumption, because I haven't done a full financial analysis to support that position. I would guess that not too many on here have done that either. And I don't mean looking at your latest paycheck, or what you "think" GM employees are getting paid.
I just hate to see the blue-collar / white-collar bashing each other. Some in each category are likely overpaid. And the opposite will be true as well.
