The unions USED to be a good thing. Not anymore. When GM fires a guy for a lack of productivity but is forced to rehire him a week later by the union, you know there's a problem.

Believe me guys, my dad has seen it all. The union does protect workers against things like unfair wages, but for the most part, it's become nothing more than a refuge for people who like to complain about the dumbest things.

Example: At Norwood Assembly, the union requested that GM provide some floormats for the assembly line workers. GM agreed, but the floormats were delayed for some reason. The union actually decided to strike over floormats. The lazy guys walked off the line, my dad and the majority of people there laughed and kept working.
