I was walking across the street in front of my apartment building today. It was snowing and slick. As I entered the crosswalk, there was a guy in front of me carrying a few small boxes. I took two steps and a car plowed into the guy without even hitting the brakes. He bounced off the car and boxes flew everywhere. So, the driver gets out and proceeds to scream at the guy for not getting out of his way when the guy could plainly see that the he was in a hurry. Then he looks for damage on the car and ignored the driver completely without even asking him if he was OK. The pedestrian was trying to find his boxes. He looked a little stunned. I didn't stick around. In Moscow, this is not the scene for a foreigner to be involved with. The last thing you want to do is talk to a Moscow cop at a time like that! What a jerk that driver was though! He deserved the old
