That way you get the leather seats, heated seats, steering wheel controls, and the HID headlamps the srt8 comes with standard. Also add alittle extra for the stripes on the maro that the srt8 comes standard with along with the little fuel door cover that the srt8 comes standard with. And oh yea the maro doesnt even offer a GPS system which the srt8 does. What about the cool VIDC that comes standard on the srt8 which displays 0-60, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, G Force meter, braking distance, and a timer.Does the maro offer that? How bout the keyless go push button starting system? Brushed alum. foot pedal covers. And from my research the srt8 is about 170lbs heavier. Wow, big diffrence. They probably based that for the camaro on the stripper 1SS anyway. Fact is there will be far less srt8 challengers built than the camaro. Im sure theres more to post in this regard but like you im too lazy to look. You can get a manual srt8 for about $43k and with the rebates coming and the fact the cars been out for alittle, you should be able to do alot better than that. Which closes the gap even more.

When you do compare an SRT8 Challenger to a fully loaded Camaro SS, it makes sense to add all the extra's that come standard on the Chally to the Maro for a fair comparison in price and performance.. However the Chally doesn't have ambient lighting in the interior which is a plus for the Camaro.. The Chally does offer more display options and a 0-60 timer.. Both cars are pretty even in my book when it comes to value for what you are paying. However the base 1SS camaro if you are looking for best power performance does come out ahead of Dodge because it doesn't offer a stripped out cloth seats srt8.... However at that price range, most will opt for getting all the options..
