Highly doubt it. You typically need 6 wins to be bowl eligible. Even if Texas is a "big name" team, I don't think we should get any kind of preferential treatment because of it.
We sucked this season. The consequence of that is we don't go to a bowl game just like any other team that finishes with a 5-7 record.
