I always obey tint laws within a % or two and get a sticker saying it's legal as well. . . usually works. 3% or 5% limo tint is legal on all back windows here and for the front sun strip, 20% on the doors and I usually go 18% or 17% to 15% if I can find one of those in a nice metal grade. Before I apply the front side tint I apply a small sticker saying its legal 20% and in compliance. Never had a cop meter me, ever. 17% is what I prefer to run on my doors. . . 15% is pushing it a little.
