It's silly, really. Kia and Hyundai are making leaps and bounds in the quality and appearance dept. while Toyota just rolls along with small tweaks.
I just did a little mental estimate and if you pull ALL of GM's fleet sales out of november they are only off Toyota's total sales by 9-10K cars.

They have gotten complacent. They are so used to the "image" of them being the most reliable and best, they have gotten too comfortable and relaxed.
