Alright....
I played for about 6 hours straight today. Got my B license with gold on all 10 courses (this was challenging and i plan on doing it with every license...it will take a while) Got up to level 7. IF your going to play it get a good steering wheel....bottom line. Its not even the same game without one.

Heres a quick review.

First and foremost...if your a GT fan you will love the game...no doubt just go and buy it. If you want a game to pick up and have all kinds of insane action and instant gratification...it might not be your type of game.

Graphics-8

Plain and simple...sometimes they are a ten and sometimes they are a 5. The shadows look like shit a lot of the time. The game has some aliasing issues. Overall it looks good. Graphics dont make a game in my opinion anyway and never have....but it does help. I expected more....but they are good enough. They can be breathtaking at times and better than ANYTHING I have seen before...but their are almost as many moments of disappointment.


Gameplay/controls- 10.

Rally cars, go karts, nascars, all types of cars and different handling characteristics for each. Different tires, different setting...it goes on and on and on. NOTHING matches this game when it comes to gameplay in my opinion. You can make it very difficult and rewarding depending on set up and car etc or you can fly around in an indy car with arcade handling. The driving experience is PHENOMENAL

Lasting appeal-9.0

My god their is so much to do and explore etc etc. The online is supposedly great (havent tried it) . This is an important aspect of the game and I would say this games lasting appeal would probably be a 10 if it wasnt so familiar to past games (another slight downfall). One might get bored with it after a couple years. A 10 would be never lol.

Some negatives.

I expected a bit more polish in this game. Like I said sometimes in regards to the graphics in certain things it literally looks like ps2...like they just threw it in and said **** it.
Loading times are maybe just a bit too long at times but nothing too out of hand.

If you are a fan of racing games I am not sure how you could not like this game.
But this is the type of game that you need to put some time into to really fully understand the scope of it and how great it really can be (especially if you are new to the series). A quick trip to a friends house to only try a couple different things could definitely give the wrong impression/leave quite a bit out.
If you love cars and racing you should love this game.

I would like to talk a lot more about a lot of other things....but that would take a LOOOOONG TIME and not likely any of you would read that much anyway.

And before a bunch of people start talking about it...
In regards to vs forza. Wow....I could really care less. Its video games. Not worth arguing over. If you dont like it dont play it...who cares lol.
