Well car fans, it was another glorious Camaro driving day in East PA! Hard to believe I reached the 10K milestone. I guess the miles fly when you're having fun. With milestones often comes sentimentality, and since I'm a girl I'm allowed to get mushy about it. So my car has never gotten attention on the road, or at the gas pumps like some owners claim. I don't get any thumbs up, no "nice car", or people getting whiplash looking at it. (Maybe I'm driving too fast for them to see it?)

I do occasionally have an older gentleman give it a second look. Usually with an expression that holds respect, and silly perhaps, but I like to think he's remembering his days with a previous generation of Camaro or another muscle car. Then he sees me sitting in the drivers seat and all that changes to "WTF"?? , but that's ok.. still a cool moment when it happens. An unspoken understanding between two people, that some cars are more than just transportation.

However, there is a demographic that never fails to get excited and start pointing when they see my car... kids! God bless the little boys from the back of the Mini-Van, SUV, or School bus. Their excitement for this American/Canadian partnership is contagious and puts a huge grin on my face every time. And yes, it sometimes kinda chokes me up when I think about it. Because maybe, just maybe, someday I'll be looking at their Camaro or Challenger or Mustang with respect, and remembering my glorious days with my 5th generation. History repeats, and may there always be cars on the road that are more than transportation to the driver. Thank you Chevy for my first 10,000 miles of Camaro Love.
