Alright, the pricing structure makes it pretty evident that this is going to be very close to a kind of 'no cost' alternative to the HF V-6. In other words, pick your poison....more power and refinement or increased fuel economy. I get it, and fundamentally speaking I think it works. Certainly it makes a lot more sense than just having the standard, run of the mill four cylinder as the base engine in a car priced as dearly as the LaCrosse, which is what we have right now.

That said, I think a ~30k price point for what is effectively a very base LaCrosse is still really pushing it. In fact, I think the word optimistic best describes Buick pricing as a whole right now.
