Odds are, there will be all new V8's for the 2013 MY, so I doubt they'll invest much into the LS3 between now and then. And for the last 6 months or so, they've been out-selling the revamped Mustang, while offering less money on the hood ... GM doesn't have too many reasons to mess around with the Camaro.

They
were outselling the Mustang, the Mustang outsold the Camaro in October with 1500 dollars on the hood. The idea is to prevent be overtaken before it actually happens, not to wait until you lose the lead.
And Mustang has Boss 302 on the way, a slightly revamped GT500 that will likely be here about when the Z28 finally hits dealership lots, and strong indications that the GT and the V6 will both be mildly tweaked for the 2012 or 2013 model year.
I think GM's biggest problem is that they are still too slow to react to market realities.
