That looks like the color(on your '68) of my brothers before he had it painted the Vipor Blue. His also had a 327(although he had it bored/stroked to 350. Not sure which one as I dont exactly know what it means to have an engine 'bored or stroked', other than more cubic inches..??) with a 2 speed Powerglide, but his was on the floor.
He had a stall put in as well but don't know what size, it was a monster though. Like you, he had Flowmaster TD's but his were dumped before the rear axle. God I loved the way his car sounded/vibrated the pavement around it. It gave me an eargasm everytime I heard it.
Wish I could get my LS1 to sound like it. :( Also wished I could have afforded to buy it from him when he sold it not to long ago. :(
