My POINT,which you missed,is that the Camaro SS and STI peform very similar as do the GT500 and supposedly the SS. The STI will outhandle the SS easily........and it's a better value because of it's added features for the money(AWD,and namely the ulitilty of 5 doors),BUT.....and here is where you missed my point.....BUT,you wouldn't dismiss the performance of the Camaro because it lacked the handling prowess of the Scooby.....would you? The GT500 may lack the value and may have less handling than the SS,but you would be ignorant to dismiss it's performance.
Ahhhhhh, so you have to ignore that it's slower, underpowered, less capable of taking corners AND more expensive before it looks like the better value. Sorry that didn't make sense for a second thanks for clearing that up.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
