There are probably a set of conditions that will legitimately put it ahead of the others. Just like how I can claim that my car can easily do the 1/4 mile in under 8 seconds ... so long as I start at 120 mph. Its still true, but not exactly honest either.

They probably are, its just a matter of degree and whether or not you care about it. For example, most people don't care when a company lies and says something like "Our #1 concern at Widget Corp is
you". No its not ... #1 concern is making money. If it means being nice, they'll be nice. If it means shafting you, they'll shaft you. Either way they don't actually care, so long as it maximizes profit. And we're all fine with it because in that particular case, we'd rather be lied to than told the truth.
