Not true at all. My buddy just traded his 2010 in on a 2011 Gt500. Go on ford.com and build one for yourself. To build it to compare to an SRT-8, the only option you need to add is nav. The GT500 doesn't need the other options added to have what the SRT-8 has. That was my point. Of course you can add options to the the GT500 like the SVT package that will increase the price ,but then again your adding more options that the SRT-8 doesn't have.
If you build the two as equal as possible there is only about $5,300 in difference which makes the GT500 a much better deal. Plus they hold they're value much better than an SRT-8.
Like I said before I love the looks of the challenger but the performance just isn't there yet for the money you spend. If your talking dollars VS performance then the Camaro is still the best overall buy.
