I have dell XPS 720, I ve had it for a couple of years. It came with Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS (now out of production). One burnt out, one has worked for what I need it for. I am wondering if I can buy any other newer NVIDIA card to put in that other slot and have them be compatiable?

I guess the other thing I am wondering is the computer now too outdated for newer video cards? Like putting a 1000 dollar car alarm on a 500 dollar car?
