The diesels are great if you do a lot of towing etc. You need to drive a lot to make up the $8,500 ish price difference up front and the $.15 a gallon more expensive fuel to boot. (not to mention that you have to step up to at least a 3/4 ton to get the diesel too)

Based on what the OP said he needs for a truck, the tacoma, f150 or chevy/gmc, dodge is rgiht for him.
