That's the old engine though, the hemi does significantly better than that old 360.
I agree about the diesels only being worth it if you need them. The up front cost of a diesel takes a lot of miles to work off if you're only looking at mileage. Plus diesel typically runs 20-30cents more than unleaded. Honestly I love my diesel but if I didn't need that much towing I'd get out of it. It's kind of a pain.
Sounds like you don't mind waiting a few months Stew. If I were you, I'd just avoid looking until after hunting season. Everyone wants a new truck in hunting season. If you do look too much now you'll drive yourself crazy- at least if you're like me
