This has gotten idiotic. Nissan is building a supercar. So is Chevy. They are street cars that are competitive at the highest level and this nitpicking back and forth is as retarded as arguing about the back seats of that infiniti earlier. Neither car is a race car. Both marques race and that input goes into their cars. Some trannys have grenaded, but it's not like you touch the gas and the car blows up.
Nissan has won the 24 hours of Le Mans before in their class but there were rules changes in the 90s that worked against their engine layout. They won with a twin turbo v6 btw. Nissan dominated SCCA racing for a long time and are still a favorite in SCCA.
So you guys can make stuff up all you want, but at the end of the day these two cars are pretty damn equal in performance and the win would likely go to the better driver. You know it, some of you are just too obstinate to admit it.
And before you tell me that I'm some sort of Nissan lover racing to intervene on my beloved marques behalf- I don't give a rat's ass about the GT-R. I just love logic and I know if I had a ZR1 I'd still need to treat the GT-R pitted against me with respect or risk embarassment.
