Aim for the bushes...

So I thought this was a pretty funny story worth mentioning:
My friend's over at my house after treating me to a birthday dinner (how nice of him), and we decide to boot up Halo Reach for the fun of it. We matchmake a bit and decide to call it a night after one more game.
The last game, we're matchmaking in Big Team Slayer, and we get set up for a game. Problem is, right from the start, 8 PEOPLE drop out from the game. "Okay, no problem. It'll be a fun 4v4 game."
WRONG.
The servers split us up 6-2, the two of us against the 6 of them. We immediately burst out into laughter, and once we collect ourselves, the game starts, and we're spawned in a fort (I think we were playing Hemorrhage on Forge World?) which had the rough dimensions of a doughnut (the dough being a tunnel) with two entrances on opposite sides. I find a blind spot between the two entrances and we just crouch there for 4 minutes, and the other team is completely oblivious to our hiding spot.
Some guy finally puts two and two together and makes the brave plunge in, taking out my friend only to be taken out by me. My friend respawns and the other team starts to swarm me. I respawn at a different location and we keep up the game of hide-and-seek while the lead teeters between us and them, mostly because I get revenge kills and they're blowing each other up.
They finally boot the guy who kept killing them, and in the final 5 minutes decide to go balls to the wall and start making ourselves public in an effort to take the lead for good.
My friend, who doesn't own an Xbox, consistently dies while I'm snagging several headshots. We're taking on Banshees, Wraiths, and Ghosts until the score shifts to their favor, ultimately giving them the win in the final moments of the game. We walked away 9-12 and were proud that we made a great stand.
It was the greatest way to end a great night.
