Toyota plans to introduce their plug-in hybrid a year ahead of the Volt. It won't be a full-fledged release like the Volt's will, but it's still kinda sucky.

Edit: Although we all know what happened last time Toyota rushed *cough* Tundra *cough*, and that would be a major dent in their reputation, so this might not be such a bad thing after all.
