Seriously, buy what you want with YOUR money. Who cares what everyone else thinks. I assume and hope your family would not disown you if you bought a Ford. Although, if they did over something as little as a car, your family needs to go see the looney doctor.
Example: My parents wish I wouldn't smoke/wouldn't of started smoking 5 years ago, but they havent treated me any different than before I started smoking. They just want whats best for me and for me to be healthy and I understand that totally but I'm addicted to nicotine. One day I will stop, one day.
.....Your parents/family will not disown you if you buy a car other than a GM product.
