Then do it. Figure out a field you're interested in and ask someone who works in that field if you can shadow them. You have to start somewhere. I started out cleaning cages and windows at the animal clinic I work for, but after they saw how well I worked, I moved up the ranks to veterinary assistant.
I was lucky because I was hired in right before all hell broke loose with the economy. But even if you won't get paid, you'll at least have experience, and trust me, when you get to college, that's one thing that will make you stand out from your peers.
