It really isnt that hard.
How to make a fiberglass box. I also think it would be a fun job just as long as it looks good. I have seen some people try to make them and just do terrible on the bondo job and it looks awful.

Maybe all you would need is the BA system and the subs. That should be enough my moms cobalt has the sub in the back and it puts out some good sound.
