Can he impound your vehicle. Shoot...he can arrest you, put you in jail, AND tow your vehicle. Case law provides that to police in Arizona vs Stillwater?...I remember it was something water. Basically, mom let her kids run loose in the car while she was driving. Officer saw her, stopped her, and cited her. He told her if he ever saw her doing that again, he was going to book her. Well...guess what happened next. Yep...couple weeks later, same thing. The officer booked her because she knew and refused to comply for the safety of her children. We can book you for anything except speeding and open container in the state of Texas. ....yes...if you don't use your blinker, we can book you AND tow your car. Most of us won't do that unless ...well, you understand.

Just be polite. I could have written this younger guy 11 tickets tonight for his driving...and booked him. Instead, I wrote him for Expired Registration, Expired Inspection, and No Insurance....which he bought on the spot to prevent his car from being towed (he simply called his insurance company to renew his policy that expired two months ago). He will only have to pay for one ticket...the insurance, since the other two can be dismissed. Yeah, I could have jacked up his drivers license, but he was very polite. Simple as that!

Umm...with all do respect Boomer, don't do that.

D@mn straight!
