yes, the stock ecu never really opens the throttle plate 100% even at WOT, and cuts it off further after 5800 rpms. i guess the hypertech device kinda helps reducing the cutoff, but for example a cp-e standback with full control flashes removes the load cap 100% so you get power all the way to redline.
flashes are gonna be my next mod actually. i just dyno'd my MS3 on cpe-s "heartbreaker" dyno on saturday. it's a mustang dyno that for some reason reads a lot lower than other dynos, even other mustang dynos. a nissan gt-r with full exhaust and intake/inlet put down "only" 365whp lol. unfortunately not many big turbo MS3's showed up so my MS3 had the 3rd highest number of the day with 254whp (which should be around 290whp on a dynojet). i'm pretty much bolted: cpe intake/inlet, cobb downpipe (catted), borla exhaust, cobb fmic, cpe fuel pump, running 18psi on a cp-e standback. i'm still optimizing the tune and once i'm done that should give me another 10whp or so. the flashes will improve that number even more obviously...
