The guy is Will Cooksy (sp).
This is from a post from Corvette Forum from some one who talked to Will,
"Wil ( plant mgr. at corvette plant) said that he was trying to blow the tires on the Vette at the burn out contest at Carlisle. The only thing is he said he did not plan on blowing off the fiberglass. He said it was no big deal that the car used was a test mule and when they got it home they just put new fiberglass back on it. Also said the car would not be sold anyway that it would be distroyed when they were finished with it."
