yeah, right now, SSD's are more ample for the notebook/laptop market over the desktop market. but, you can get a cheaper 60gb SSD to use as your primary drive to run your OS from and use the HDD for backup and file storage.
and if you are going on a budget, obviously you can get a high speed, high volume HDD for cheaper than most SSD's that are out now
