I figure the Grendel will be great for hogs, coyotes, deer and prairie dogs. My son in law has a 24" barrel 6.5 Grendel in an AR 15 which makes a nice accurate rifle but to long and heavy to pack around. 16" 6.5 G only looses about 100 FPS compared to a 20" barrel but handles better for me and is similar to my 5.56 duty rifle. 6.5 Grendel uses the same case as 7.62 X 39 but necked down to 6.5 MM/ .264. These bullets have a high ballistic coefficient and has a flat trajectory with no more wind drift than a 7.62 X 51. 6.5 G uses bullets from 85 grains up to about 140 grains with 123 grain match bullets being some of the more accurate long range rounds.

Alexander Arms makes some great products! I'd love to play with the 6.5 Grendel and the .50 Beauwulf. Let me know how they shoot! I'm thinking I'm going to get back into the, um, arms race, lol.
