the average person in the USA drives 12 K miles per year....

So GM gets the perception of quality products offering 5 year /100 K mile warranty...and yet the average car will only have 60K miles on it at the end of 5 years ..

GM's warranty costs should be at a lower cost with the 5 year term limit for the most part compared to a 7 year/70k mile limit that Chrysler used to offer..

I think Chrysler offers a lifetime warranty now a days but who knows if they will even be in business in 5 years....and I don't think it covers the viper or the SRT products....
Well said JBsC6 and well thoght out by GM. They have the percieved 100k warranty but it really expires after 5 years.
