How come Volvo, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda and BMW do not rename their brands in other countries? Seems to work fine for them and think about the money they save by not having another brand burning up money.

The only reason Buick has done so well in China is because of they didn't have much of a choice in cars there and what they had was junk. GM moved in where there was a need for a quality car with Buick and that is why the Chinese ate them up... But they could have taken Chevy, or any other GM brand over there and done just as well... Toyota and Honda are now trying to jump in and build cars there... Give Credit where credit is due GM opened up a new market and now everyone else wants a piece of the pie, and who had the Idea to go there? Rick Wagoner...
