People usually get excited when buying any new car. Buying a really cool looking car like a Challenger or Camaro or Mustang is more than okay, even if its the V6 model. Heck, the V6 models of all of these cars look almost exactly like the V8 models, so the cool factor is definitely there.

HOWEVER, if having the rear wheels spinning through 2nd gear 'til you grab third is important to you, the V6 won't cut it. If you want a great car that's a blast to drive and reasonably economical the six is more than fine, but if you will be trolling for Mustangs and Challengers...
Just copied this from a Mustang forum:

"I raced a 2002 Camaro SS today in my 2007 V6 Mustang. I was actually surprised he didn't beat me by more. We were neck and neck until he went into second. I really thought he would kill me off the line. We did about 1/8 mile and he had me by 2 or 3 car lengths."

That V6 Mustang owner was bragging about how he stayed fairly close to the Camaro SS, and other posters congratulated him for his efforts. I'm sure somewhere the Camaro owner was also bragging about how he blew away a Mustang (and assumed it was a GT, or at least told people that it was). The V6 Camaro is going to be a great car. But if you buy the V6, please don't race Mustang GTs with it. We don't need Mustang GT owners relating how they raced and destroyed the new Camaros.
