you can easily find a good 1-2 year old vehicle in their price range. for a daily driver, what is the point of having a brand new vehicle? none. its just a way to get from one place to another, so why waste more money on new when you can get a fully loaded used one for the same price as a stripped down new one?
P.S. leasing a vehicle is DUMB
Dave Ramsey quote: "say you lease a $22,000 car for three years, and when you turn it in at the end of the lease the car is worth $10,000, someone has to cover the $12,000 loss. your fleece/lease payment is designed to cover that loss in value ($12,000 spread over 36 months is $333 per month), plus provide profit (the interest you pay). on top of that there is the charge of 10 to 17 cents per mile for going over the allotted miles, plus "excessive wear and tear" for every little nick, dent, carpet tear, smudge, or smell. the whole idea of the back-end penalties is twofold: to get you to fleece/lease another one so you can painlessly roll the gotchas into the new lease. after you factor all of that, the average interest rate of a leased car is 14 percent."
the average interest on a new financed car is half of that! the only reason dealerships push people to lease is because they make more profit off of them in the long run.
