Thumbs down Parents need a car; driven up a wall. Halp.

As the title states I've already suggested a plethora of vehicles for them to consider since their lease on a 2007 Ford Edge is coming up in November. It's driven me up a wall in "OMFGWTFBBQIDIENAO"..

As I've said before in the past; they friggin hate the Edge as a mode of transportation. I'd bore you with an extensive list but the primary balks from them are comfort and 'passing power' aka the ability to pass something with more than 6 wheels.

So far I suggested the following. The responses followed:

2010 Equinox: Too chinsey and no better than the edge
2010 Malibu: No Cars
2010 Taurus: Comfy, but no cars strike dos
2010 Fusion: Actually pops idea at first but after renting one.. neeext
2010 Edge: How do you say "Die in a fire" in a 'parent-son' kind of way?
2010 Enclave: "Ohh ni-" *dies from stickershock*
2010 CTS: See above
2010 Acadia: See above
2010 Focus: Right price, but too chinsey.. it's also a car (FOR F'KS SAKE WHAT YOU YOU THINK YOU"RE GETTING FOR 15K! in 2011!)

Previous 'loved cars'

2000-2003 Dodge Durango.
1992 Olds Silhouette.

Prior to that we're talking my age driving 69-79 Camaro straight sixes and one Z/28. Intervening years filled with crappy carb'd 307 olds cutlasses.

They won't go foreign (thank christ..) and only want to spend around 320/mo on a lease. Need to sit at least Edge/Equinox height and it needs to be available for lease/purchase by early November. I'm thinking this is going to exclude most of the new '12 vehicles which they happen to like.

Man, typing this thing out just makes me need some aspirin. Help or 'lol' if you want. At this point I'm at the latter and they're saying 'I'm no help' yet still ask "Wat Car Iz Gud."
