Absolutely not going to happen. Emissions and CAFE will see to that. Big blocks are dead, more or less replaced with forced induction. And carbs are even deader. Heck, even port-fuel injection is on its way out now, getting replaced with direct injection. Electronic control systems are here to stay as well, and with most performance cars you can turn off the traction control and stability control.

And for all the advocates of the 'striped down muscle car', are you forgetting that the most popular Camaro is the 2SS meanwhile the least popular is the 1SS. RS cars are twice as common as non-RS. Tons of people have demanding that the Camaro have a nav system, while those that want a bare bones car are few and far between. The numbers simply aren't there for GM to even consider doing it, let alone justify it.[/QUOTE]
