Beyond both of those points, you have to think about the HP that even the V6 is putting out. 300HP+ in a V6 is pretty damn impressive. The V8s of the 60s-70s would have loved to have that kind of power. I certainly agree that the V8 versions of these cars is the best, but the V6 is no slouch.

The torque numbers those 70s cars put out were greater than the current V6 number is for many of the muscles cars of the era. However the V6 has an impressive little engine in there and the only thing holding it back is the weight of the Camaro which is hefty even for the V8 model..Hopefully the V6 gets 0-60 at 5.9...
