I would even overlook Ford's terrible quality and purchase the car even thoguh the thing will be a rust bucket under the car in about 6 months like my bro and friends Stangs!
I have to tell you if Chevy doesn't step up to the plate and bring us a Z28, they can kiss sales goodbye to anyone that was hoping for one. Because, as long as Ford still has that car in production, and Chevy has no answer, Camaro fans will be disssapointed in every asspect. Especially at the drag strip!

Terrible quality? Get out from under the rock you've been living under and move into the 21st century. As recently as this past summer/fall, Ford was the most-awarded company on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis, beating even Toyota, in the quality of its cars.
I've owned 6 Fords since 2002 (2000 Lightning, 2003 Mach 1, 2005 Mustang GT, 2001 Lightning, 2005 F150 FX4 and my current 2007 GT500) and I've not had any major quality issues with any of them. Out of all of them, the only one that had to go back to the dealer for any work was the GT500 for a passenger-side airbag recall issue.
I have over 18K miles on the GT500 now and drive it 60 miles, round-trip, almost every day to work and back in all weather conditions. I've not had any problems with the car at all despite putting down over 260 more rwhp that the car came with for 12 of those 18k miles.
I had my 2006 GTO for 18 months, and in that time, I had to take it in for two major issues (strut rub and paint defects) and four other times for minor issues (broken driver side seat track, squeaking/handing clutch pedal, a/c sounded like a jack-hammer when engaged and bubbles on the steering wheel). From everything I learned when I owned the car, these were common issues. Do I know owners of GM products that have had zero issues with their cars, sure. I think its the way it goes with all manufacturers even,*gasp*,
imports.
I take no unbrage from people who do not like Ford as a brand but, as hard as it might be for some people to be objective, you have to give credit where credit is due. One day I hope that people will wake up and realize that running down someone else's ride of choice does not make their choice look better. I think it is more likely that Israel and Palestine will-exist peacefully before that ever happens, but I can still dream.
