I agree with your last statement. Like the Camaro, the Mustang has a huge cult following, so they are going to sell. You only need to look at the '70s and the Mustang II to know that regardless of what shape/form the Mustang takes, they will still sell them.

Yep, a good example. The 70's were not appealing times for mustang fans, but somehow they still sold.
