the manual times with 3.73's are just a tick quicker but lose mph from hitting the limiter.
look, you arent going to find a "stat" you can point to. if he has 3.55's OR 3.73's against you modded SS he should lose. there is a large difference in wheel HP from car to car. there shouldnt be IMO. Ford doesnt certify HP levels, and they are as bad as 355rwhp to 382 rwhp with low miles. the wheel HP is pretty much identical as an average, but the car to car matchups are going to favor the one with most actual HP/weight. the stock coyote is hamstrung by the low limiter. i hit it all the time. i actually HAVE to short shift it or face a hard limiter hit.
if you are winning 80percent of the races, expecially after losing the hit, you have a large HP/TQ advantage. you do not have a gearing or weight advantage.
Also his options matter. the coyote does not have a 1000-5500rpm advantage. the LS3 torque is 20+rwtq more. if the 2011GT is heavily optioned to reduce the weight advantage any at all, it becomes far harder to get the win.
powershifting.....the coyote is a breeeze to powershift. breeze. 2-3 kinda sucks. its the one i miss occasionally.
even if he had 3.73's he should still lose. if he tunes it and mods like you, he should have an advantage. however small.
