Fen, didn't your mother teach you that you get more flies with honey? I'd suggest a "nice" campaign of people willing to plunk down a deposit. That generally can work with a business. Angry??? not so much.

WHY?!
For crying out loud GM, it's not that Americans don't want hatchbacks, Americans don't want poorly executed hatchbacks. The Saturn Astra failed miserably because the interior and powertrain sucked. This car and the new Astra hatchback would sell just fine in the states.

Fen, yes it is. Americans don't want hatchbacks well executed or not.........and I don't even know what you mean by that. Hatches are very small segment of the market in the U.S. Do your homework. If you can show in an 11,000,000 unit market that hatches have even a 5% market share you might be in the game. But the last numbers I saw there were not 550,000 hatch backs sold last year. Teeeny tiny volume. And then if GM spends the money for this segment what would their percentage of teeeen tiny be?

So they sell it in the markets that lambasted GM for brining out a NB how is that screwing things up exactly? Selling it were the volume and therefor profit is?

This simply isn't true.

Ask Fen, we all want one.

They probably could bring it to the US, and if they get a strong enough positive reaction to it maybe they will change their plans.

That's what it will take a NICE letter writing campaign. And don't think they aren't watching web responses...............they are. They read C5 I know.

Oh, come on now. How on earth is not bringing a car that GM has loads of data and experience to indicate it won't sell dropping the ball. Seriously Zabo, how is that dropping the ball.

Eyes wide open, trust me.
And by the way I think it's a sharp looking car. Not as sharp as the new Astra, but with the Cruze interior this would be an awesome car and I'd serously consider one over the Cruze NB. I just don't like you guys claiming "GM Fail" if they don't bring it. It's business, plain and simple.
