Sr built the business, Jr thought he had different rules than everyone else, and he's now facing reality; - FAILED boutique for his girlfriend
- FAILED Jr designs...a tailgate grill...really?
So know he's resorted to trying to build bikes...an idea started by Sr.,...so much for Jr doing his own thing...lol....

Here is your flame... j/k
I definitely think that the ratings play a big part on what is seen on TLC. It’s their show and they want viewers. The more viewers, the more money for TLC and the Teutuls… So you know that the Teutuls gave the cameras what they wanted. This family has issues and that is what people liked; show me the perfect family? But, I don’t think things went this far because of it being on a show. The oldest son has nothing to due with American Chopper and even Sr has admitted to not having a relationship with this son.
From what the show puts on the air, I lean towards the side of Jr. If Jr was the only bad apple, then Sr would have relations with is other sons, but he does not. Sr probably should have had never let his kids work for him.
IMO if it was not for Jr designing the bikes they would still be made in the back of the steel shop. I doubt that Sr would have sold too many old school choppers in the last ten years. He put out half ass crap and sadly they show this on the air, now that Jr is no longer part of OCC. How many times have you heard Sr say just weld it on there or I don’t care I just want it done. Sr might have built the steel business from nothing and started OCC with his money; but Sr, Jr, and Discovery Networks built OCC to what it is today.
Not sure about the failed boutique because it never started. I'm pretty sure Jr made some money on the tailgaters grill.
I think in today's economy it is going to be hard to start any business; especially a custom bike business. Only thing he has got going for him is the tv show pushing the product.

I'm not saying Jr was in the right, just that Sr was never in the right to start with.

I think the problem here is once Jr became a 20% owner in the company he figure (I think) that his dad would not be a-hole supervisor anymore. Come on, they are both owners of a successful business and making a ton of money.
