I would not expect my dealer to honor my warranty if I had added an extra 100HP. Unless you can prove without a doubt your mods were not a contributing factor, your loss on this one.
I would chalk this up to owning and modifying a performance car. Regardless of how PO'ed you are, I think you need to reset your own expectations.Lesson learned and you now have an upgraded clutch.
Yes, as a default, if you want to play you gotta pay. I agree with the OP that the clutch did indeed look like a manufacturing defect vs. 'wear and tear', but the fact that the car was modded made it an easy call for the dealer to deny.

Usually manufacturing defects show up in the first few thousand miles, so most suggest not modding immediately upon purchase. However, in the OPs instance, the defect showed up much later.
